Nobody 4K Blu-ray Movie Review

Reviewed by Justin Dekker August 1, 2025

Writer Derek Kolstad’s (‘John Wick') 2021 film 'Nobody' returns to 4K UHD in this Limited Edition SteelBook courtesy of Universal. After a break-in at his home, Hutch Mansell (Bob Odenkirk , 'Better Call Saul', Breaking Bad'), a seemingly regular guy, hits his breaking point and finally decides he isn't going to be pushed around anymore. Connie Nielsen ('Wonder Woman') also stars as Becca Mansell, and Christopher Lloyd ('Back to the Future') and Aleksey Serebryakov round out the cast. Odenkirk's performance solidly anchors the film, and the disc boasts an appealing transfer and a punchy Dolby Atmos audio track. The two discs found within (a 4K UHD disc and a Blu-ray disc each containing the feature film and special features) are identical to those which comprise the standard UHD release. Please scroll down to the 'Special Features and Extras' section below for a discussion of the newest SteelBook. A Digital Code is also included.

The cover of the new Nobody 4K Limited Edition SteelBook contains a collage of images of characters from the film. Odenkirk's Hutch dominates the top half of the image, his face sitting just off-center to the left. His telltale tattoo resides in the top right corner. Below it, the film's title is printed in yellow block letters on top of a black background. A shotgun-toting Christopher Lloyd is in the bottom at the center. To the left of him are Connie Nielsen (Becca) and the family's two children. To the left and slightly above them stands Yulien Kuznetsov (Aleksey Serebryakov), gun in hand, standing in the midst of flames with the neon sign of the trendy Malina aglow above him. Just above the sign is RZA's Harry Mansell. All of these images appear on top of a background of $100 dollar bills. The spine features the film's title in the same yellow font in a field of black. Universal's logo sits at the bottom. The reverse image is simply $100 dollar bills stained with what looks like a spattering of black ink. Universal's logo is centered at the bottom with a product number in the lower right corner Upon opening the SteelBook, the Digital Code resides under the two tabs on the left side. On the right side, the 4K UHD disc and the Blu-ray disc are stagger-stacked, each on its own hub, with the 4K UHD disc on top. Removing the discs reveals a two-panel image from the film of Hutch being thrown through the window of a bus. The SteelBook has a matte finish which resists fingerprints associated with normal handling very well. It's a nice package that conveys a bit of what the viewer can expect from the film.

Nobody 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation  3.5 of 5

Ridiculously and often inventively violent, Odenkirk and Christopher Lloyd combine to make Nobody as entertaining as it is, with it's manic trail of mayhem and destruction all being set in motion due to a young girl's cat bracelet. Fast-paced and graphic, it's a breezy actioner that ends with a set- up for the upcoming Nobody 2 which is due to arrive in August of 2025. For fans of the film, Odenkirk (and/or Lloyd), and SteelBook enthusiasts, the Nobody 4K Limited Collector's Edition SteelBook comes recommended.
