Nobody 2 4K Blu-ray Movie Review

Reviewed by Justin Dekker October 12, 2025

Bob Odenkirk reprises is role of Hutch Mansell, a dangerous man who's just trying to be a good father and husband, in 'Nobody 2' which arrives on shelves in this 'Nobody 2 4K Limited Edition SteelBook' courtesy of Universal. Working from a similar blueprint to the first film, Odenkirk is rejoined by Christopher Lloyd as his father, Connie Nielsen as his wife, RZA as his brother, in addition to Sharon Stone who appears in a villainous role. Relentlessly action-oriented and laced with comedic underpinnings, the release features a great video transfer and boisterous Dolby Atmos soundtrack. The modest assortment of on-disc supplemental features consist of deleted scenes and two segments that focus on the film's action elements. The two discs found within (a 4K UHD disc and a Blu-ray disc each containing the feature film and special features) are identical to those which comprise the standard UHD release. Please scroll down to the 'Special Features and Extras' section below for a discussion of the newest SteelBook. A Digital Code is also included.

Stylistically, the Limited Edition SteelBook for Nobody 2 4K is very much in keeping with the design of the first film's SteelBook. The chosen background here, instead of currency, is a pattern that emulates the Hawaiian shirt Hutch wears to the waterpark which is covered with blood spatter. Odenkirk's battered face dominates the top half of the cover and is just to the right of center. The film's title sits just below and to the left of his chin. To the right of the title, Sharon Stone's Lendina sits with with her tiny dog in her lap. Below the title are images of Nielsen's Becca playing a shooting game on the midway, RZA's Harry unsheathing his katana, and Lloyd's cigar-chomping David positioned in front of an explosion. A grenade and a pair of dice are highlighted with a metallic red accent. The black spine contains the film's title in its center, with Universal's logo at the bottom. The reverse is simply the blood-spattered shirt pattern with Universal's logo centered at the bottom, and a product number in the lower right corner. Upon opening the SteelBook, the Digital Code resides under the two tabs on the left side. On the right side, the 4K UHD disc and the Blu-ray disc are stagger-stacked, each on its own hub, with the 4K UHD disc on top. Removing the discs and the code reveals a two-panel image from the film of Hutch on the waterpark's midway, firing a Tommy Gun at Lendina's men. The SteelBook has a matte finish which resists fingerprints associated with normal handling very well. There aren't any embossed or glossy elements. It's a nice package that matches the previous film's SteelBook very well, and tells the tale of this installment.

Nobody 2 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation  4.0 of 5

Every bit as ridiculously an creatively violent as the first film, Odenkirk reprises his role of Hutch Mansell and is rejoined by Christopher Lloyd as his father, Connie Nielsen as his wife, and RZA as his brother. The addition of Sharon Stone and the film's waterpark setting elevate the film, and allow for greater levels of carnage and destruction. Nobody 2 stays within the bumpers established by the first film, and Odenkirk's Hutch remains a relatable and realistic action hero. He's much like every suburban dad who just wants to take his family on a "traditional" summer vacation, but where he's involved, things are never that simple. For fans of the first film, Odenkirk, or actioners that aren't afraid to have a bit of fun, the Nobody 2 4K Limited Edition SteelBook is easily recommended.
