High school is coming to an end and a huge portion of Hachiman, Yukino and Yui's world is about to change, whether they like it or not. With that realization comes another epiphany: even though they've spent so much time helping others, the three Service Club members still have issues of their own that need working out. But even as Yukino decides to move back in with her parents and attempt to put that part of her life in order, she accepts the major task of helping plan the graduation prom. Trying to accomplish such a major goal will be one of the hardest jobs the Service Club has ever taken on, but as long as they have each other to rely upon, they're determined to see it through in the third and final season of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU!

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax is the conclusion to the popular anime series. The sequel series follows the original and continues it with another chapter of the story. Produced by Hajime Maruyama (Demon King Daimao), Junichiro Tanaka (The Demon Girl Next Door), Kentarō Hattori (A Certain Scientific Accelerator), and Kozue Kananiwa (Blue Exorcist, Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl), My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax brings more charm to the table with animation produced by Brain's Base (Ghastly Prince Enma Burning Up, Kamisama Dolls). Based on the light novel by Wataru Watari as featuring original character designs by Ponkan8, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax brings audiences a farewell to the SNAFU saga.
Hachiman Hikigaya (Takuya Eguchi), Yukino Yukinoshita (Saori Hayami), and Yui Yuigahama (Nao Tōyama) face new challenges in their second year of high school. The journey is far from over: new challenges arise when Hachiman must learn how to help himself (and not only others). The eccentric “service group” has to continue to help others but each club member has their own life issues to tackle as well.
Yukino moves in with her parents and becomes involved in planning for the big prom at the end of the school year. Hachiman struggles with the changes in his life and the challenge meeting the needs of the service group from day to day. Everything is on the line – and the prom is the big mission challenge. Can the prom be a dream come true for everyone? Romance isn’t the only thing on everyone’s mind – and the school year brings a plethora of new challenges and surprises.
The characters on My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax are charming. At the forefront of the success of the series, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax delivers fans the sort of enjoyable characters necessary to lead the series. Hachiman surprises as an unlikely protagonist in some respects but the character has a distinct voice as a character. Yukino and Yui are both essential to the series and its success. These characters are essential to the storytelling.
Part of the charm of these characters resides in the exceptional character designs by Masaru Shindō (Fruits Basket, Macross Delta). The character designs fit the characters and their respective roles in spades on My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax. These designs are thoughtfully animated to enhance the production. The results certainly make an impression.
"Oh, snap!"
The series art direction by Shigemi Ikeda (My Hero Academia, One Punch Man) is effective as well: the animation stunning in its creativity and art style. The production has excellent background animation, line art, and designs. The series showcases a colorful and vibrant aesthetic and it is one which fits the tone of the series well.
The cinematography by Yūta Nakamura (Komori-san Can't Decline, So I Can't Play H) adds to the final season as well. Nakamura is new to the season and makes a solid addition as the cinematographer behind-the-scenes of the concluding season. Nakamura brings a cohesive style to the series that manages to play nicely with what came before and the effort here is commendable. A visually compelling landscape of cinematography.
The score by Kakeru Ishihama (Concrete Revolutio, Nisekoi - False Love) and monaca (Garo the Animation, Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!) is one of the most effective components of the anime series. The music is vibrant and full of energy. The score provides the series with a quirky sensibility which is a solid fit for the production. Both Ishihama and monaca provide a solid music landscape for the series to excel within.
The final season is penned by Shōtarō Suga (Darker than Black, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex). My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax explores the characters dimensions as the final season of the series unfolds. The results certainly provide fans with more of the drama that fans have come to expect from the series and Suga handles the material well.
Director Oikawa (This Art Club Has a Problem!, Uma Musume Pretty Derby) returns for the final season (after helming the second season of the series). Oikawa brings the story to its close with a sensitive directing style and prepares audiences for the conclusion and its final moments with the cast of characters. A send-off done with style.
