Deku encounters one of his biggest missions yet. The story is never over for Deku and All Might. A new swarm of enemies awaits and the risk of death is imminent. The stakes are higher than ever before as Deku fights with all his strength to reach the finish line.
Deku has to test his strength and find a way to overcome exorbitant obstacles in order to survive. This time around Deku even has to face down the successors of One For All. With so many obstacles, Class 1-A is in for more trouble than expected but won’t back down without a fight. Can Deku survive to see another day?
My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 continues with the fun cast of characters. My Hero Academia has some of the best characters in modern anime. The cast is fun and charming. Deku, All Might, and the others are great heroes and it is fun to spend time with these entertaining characters. The cast has abundant energy and it is a blast to see the cast of characters in action.
The series character designs by Hitomi Odashima (My Hero Academia: You're Next, My Hero Academia UA Heroes Battle) and Yoshihiko Umakoshi (My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, Saint Seiya Omega) are well-done and make a solid impression. My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 features a great design effort for the characters. The designs have personality and charm. The character designs are iconic.
The animation is one of the major highlights of the production. My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 features superb art direction by Shigemi Ikeda (Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Inuyasha) and Yukiko Maruyama (Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon). The chief animation direction by Hitomi Odashima (My Hero Academia: You're Next, My Hero Academia UA Heroes Battle) is outstanding and adds a lot of pizzaz to the production. The visuals are key to the storytelling and the animators bring their best to the table. Everything from the background art to the fluid action animation is top-notch.
The cinematography by Takashi Sawa (My Hero Academia: You're Next, Blood Blockade Battlefront) is impressive and one of the highlights of the series production. The cinematography is crisp and quite engaging. The stylistic flourishes of the cinematographer add to the production scope and scale. Outstanding.
The score composed by Yuki Hayashi (Pokémon Journeys: The Series, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes) is one of my favorite things about My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2. My Hero Academia has a fun, terrific, and action-packed score. The music provides a solid backdrop for the action scenes. The compositions by Hayashi are consistently entertaining and the music provides a lot of adrenaline.
Written by Yōsuke Kuroda (High School of the Dead, Waiting in the Summer), My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 ramps up the action. The heroes are back for more thrills. Fans of the series will certainly enjoy going on another exciting romp. The characters are in for a thrill ride – with lots of adventures.
Directed by Kenji Nagasaki (Classroom Crisis, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes) and Masahiro Mukai (Hyperdimension Neptunia, The Book of Bantorra), My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 continues the formula that fans have come to expect. Released on Blu-ray by Crunchyroll, My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 is presented in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC encoded high-definition in the original television broadcast aspect ratio of 1.78:1 widescreen. An impressive and pleasing high-definition presentation. The presentation has bright and crisp colors. A wonderfully vibrant presentation with effective color reproduction and good detail.
Background artwork, line artwork, and incredible detail. My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 looks great. A wonderful native high- definition presentation. As a native presentation, the colors also look much more vivid compared to standard-definition upscales present on some releases. My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 is a stunner.
Fans of physical media will be pleased to know that the Blu-ray disc format continues to provide a superior option to streaming video services. The physical format rewards with a superior image. Though the difference isn't always night and day, it can still yield a subtle and appreciable difference for some viewers. This is especially true for viewers using high-end displays, such as OLED or top-line projectors.
The release includes a selection of lossless audio options: English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and Japanese Dolby TrueHD 2.0 (with English subtitles). The sound direction by Masafumi Mima (Attack on Titan, Cardcaptor Sakura) is well-done and adds to the presentation. The lossless 5.1 audio is a bit more immersive as an option with more detail in the rear channels. The original Japanese language audio is 2.0 only but has excellent clarity overall. Dialogue is clear and well reproduced. The English subtitles are well done and are free from egregious spelling or grammatical errors.
One of the foundations of the Blu-ray disc format is the superior audio encoding. The Blu-ray disc format provides lossless audio encoding – a notable difference compared to streaming video services (which only provide lossy – non-lossless and compressed audio). Lossless audio means a lot to audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts wanting the absolute best audio quality obtainable. For audiophiles, the audio difference can provide a significant difference.
The first print run of the release comes with an o-card slipcover. The slipcover features the same artwork highlighted on the standard cover-art sleeve.
On disc supplements:
OVA: HLB (HD, 23:21) is the first of two OVA episodes on the release.
OVA: Laugh! As If You Are in Hell (HD, 23:22) is the second of two OVA episodes on the release.

My Hero Academia: Season 6, Part 2 provides more action-packed adventure for fans of the series. The action-adventure is a staple of Japanese animation. My Hero Academia is one of the best modern anime series. Impressive characters and a fun action-packed environment. The Blu-ray release provides a nice high-definition presentation and lossless audio encoding, too. The release also includes a supplemental package that includes two OVA episodes and other additions.
