Mulan 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Disney's SteelBook is slick and glossy but is not a fingerprint magnet. The main background color front and rear is an off white atop of which the
artisan-like artwork appears. On the front is Mulan in a battle stance, sword over her head and more or less parallel to the ground. Her hair is waving
and her armor is blowing, creating a sense of motion. She's surrounded by splotches of watercolor streaks and splatters of red and gray. It's quite
attractive. The rear panel is much the same, though the image and the paint a more bunched in towards the vertical center where one side of
Mulan's face is reflected in her sword blade (and also includes some Chinese script), which runs vertically through the middle. Red and purple paint
streaks and strokes appear on each side,
roughly forming the rest of her face and armor but so subtly it doesn't look so at first glance. Beyond a little legalese and a number on the back there is
no text front or rear. The spine is black with the film's title in red, center. A red UHD logo sits at the top and a Red Disney logo,
below some vertical Chinese writing, appears below.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features an interesting depiction of Mulan, center. She's split between her
"home" self and her "warrior" self. On the left she appears as at the beginning of the film with an arid background behind her. The other half of her
face on the right is clad in armor. A snowy terrain is seen in the distance.

Mulan 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Mulan's is one of the more attractive SteelBooks of the year. The front and rear panels are a breath of fresh and colorful air and the interior
offers a simple juxtaposition of the character at both ends of her journey. The UHD looks reference and the audio isn't at all poor save for the wanting
subwoofer output. Supplements are fine. Highly recommended.
