Lionsgate and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for Director Roland Emmerich's World War II Action film 'Midway.' Midway 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

Midway's SteelBook ships with a transparent plastic slipcover. The front features the film's title at the top, center, along with a few other basics like a cast list, the director name, included formats, etc. The rear panel is quite busy, with depictions of combating aircraft, a plot synopsis, special features listing, tech specs, a billing block, and the like. The spine, identical on both sides, is a green tinted color. The film's title appears center, a star at the top, and an UltraHD logo at the bottom.

The SteelBook proper is textless front and back. The front depicts a busy battle scene featuring an aircraft zooming towards the viewer. An exploding carrier is behind. Water and the skyline serve as a center demarcation line. Additional aircraft fly around the sky. The rear panel continues the image: water and sky, fighters buzzing through the sky engaged in battle, and the wing of a downed Zero extending from the water. The spine simply carries over the water and sky and the horizon. The film's title appears center.

Inside, the digital copy code floats. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, each appear on their own hubs on either side. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features a top down view of the battle. Planes are engaged on the right, a warship is under attack on the left, and explosions dot the scene. It's a more realistic depiction rather than the more comic book style artwork seen on the exterior panels.

Midway 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

Midway is a quality spectacle that delivers on the UHD format. The SteelBook packaging variant is attractively assembled. Highly recommended.
