Miami Vice / The Kingdom Blu-ray Movie Review

Mill Creek has released a Jamie Foxx-themed double feature that includes Michael Mann's 2006 film 'Miami Vice' and Peter Berg's 2007 feature 'The Kingdom.' Both discs compare favorably with their respective Universal originals ('Miami Vice,' 2006; and 'The Kingdom;' 2007) for their video and audio presentations. Unfortunately, Mill Creek has not brought over any of the many extras found on each of those respective discs; there are as bare-bones as can be. However, for the aggressive price and quality technical presentations it's hard to say 'no' to Mill Creek's otherwise solid release.

Beyond the missing extras this Mill Creek double feature compares very favorably to the original Universal discs. Those who have yet to own these films on Blu-ray and don't care about extras can pick this up with confidence, and at a bargain price. Recommended.
