Released on the same day as Disney's standard 4K "Signature Collection" combo pack, this Digipak Collector's Edition of Disney's Mary Poppins Returns is exclusive to Target, both in-store and online. It's a classy design that should appeal to collectors and includes a handsome "Gallery Book" with concept artwork, writings by Disney historian Jeff Kurtti, and other items, although all of the on-disc and digital content is identical to the standard 4K version. Similarly priced to its regular counterpart, this is a low-risk limited edition upgrade that won't last long.

This two-disc release is housed in a colorful fold-out Digipak case with individual hubs for each disc. After removing the outer slipcover, which also includes a descriptive J-card, the inside case features paneled images of some of the film's main characters -- some are photographs, and some are stylized with illustrative accents. Both discs feature artwork identical to the standard 4K edition.
Also tucked inside is a a square-bound Gallery Book with glossy pages and watercolor artwork of Mary Poppins.
For a detailed breakdown of the on-disc and digital content (all of which is identical to this release), please refer to the standard 4K edition review.

Disney's Mary Poppins Returns, though not exactly a perfect film, is about as decent a sequel as one could expect considering the original's "classic" status and the 50+ year gap. Their 4K edition easily offers the best A/V presentation currently available and a solid collection of extras although, as Martin Liebman mentions in his review, many of them aren't on the actual discs. Target's exclusive limited Digipak release is very colorful and nicely designed (and disc trays are always a plus), while the Gallery Book feels a bit more substantial than some of the other Disney Target exclusives of this type. Overall, it's a very nice set priced similarly to the standard 4K edition in-store and online...so if you haven't bought it yet, it's a fairly low-risk upgrade that's worth the few extra bucks.
