The greatest comic book franchise in film history receives a mega box-set for die-hard enthusiasts.

The Marvel Comics saga is exciting, thrilling, and adventurous from start to finish. Each installment in the epic and ongoing cinematic universe is a must-see thrill-ride and audiences the world over have enjoyed these films thoroughly since Iron Man made waves in 2008. The most expansive cinematic universe to date, Marvel is a powerhouse franchise as the biggest movie series in the world and The Infinity Saga includes the first three phases of the series.

Please Note: The 4K UHD editions in the international release of The Infinity Saga are Region Free and are capable of being played back on all 4K UHD disc drives worldwide (as the format wisely decided moving on from region coding was a good idea). The included Blu-ray discs containing the films are Region B "locked" and viewers will need a Region B player or Region Free equipped Blu-ray drive (such as the acclaimed Oppo 203/205).
The Infinity Saga collector's edition comes packaged in a deluxe box-set featuring a glass display case, a quality hard-box, and display for showcasing all of the feature-films in the saga. The release includes all films in the saga to date with collectible art-work (exclusive to the Infinity Saga collection) with quotes from each film and iconic stills from the films. The release includes DigiPack style disc trays within the individual movie cases.
The cases each include a respective slip-box and the disc trays are extremely durable and attractive. This type of casing is much better for 4K UHD discs than standard sleeves (as 4K discs are more perceptible to disc freezes or playback issues if there are any slight smudges or dirt on the discs). These disc trays are superior to what is found on the United States Infinity Saga 4K UHD box set. Unlike the US set, which includes only the Infinity Saga bonus disc, the international edition includes four bonus discs in total. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the greatest achievements in motion-picture history. As the most successful film series of all time, the Marvel feature-film landscape is one that is consistently thrilling and joyous. The Infinity Saga collection spans the entire origin of the film series through Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. The collection is epic in every sense of the word. The set is expansive and comprehensive but it is not complete. The release does omit the 3D Blu-ray discs (available separately) and several bonus features discs which pertain to the individual films. A shortcoming to the release but certainly not a dealbreaker (as most Marvel fans own some of the previous releases). What fans do get is every Marvel feature-film from phases 1-3 in glorious 4K UHD 2160p with the best video and audio quality and an assortment of exclusive extras only contained in the mega set.
The release of the Marvel Infinity Saga collection bears personal significance to me as a Marvel fan. The U.S. collection was limited to only 4,025 units (numbered as such because of the premiere of Avengers: Endgame on 4/25). The release of the conclusion to the first-wave Avengers saga was truly special for me as it opened on my 30th birthday, April 25th. Even though I own the international edition, for the superior packaging and additional extra discs, the limited number of the U.S. release feels like an example of destiny.
As a young writer, I began covering home media releases at age 13. I spent several years writing about physical media (covering animation with DVD reviews) from age 13 onward before I was hired to write for a major competitor website. Now writing for Blu-ray.com, my favorite website, it seems almost as if this journey has been part of my own "Infinity Saga" (so to speak).
It's a pleasure to have spent my entire life writing about physical media and the importance of cinema. A release as significant as the Marvel Cinematic Universe Infinity Saga is a testament to the importance of physical media and owning feature-films: receiving the best picture quality available, lossless high-resolution audio, and an assortment of entertaining bonus features. The Infinity Saga collection should be considered as essential for any mega Marvel fan. It is the best and most complete set of Marvel films released to date. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.
