Little Monsters (1989)

After moving to the neighborhood, Brian Arthur Stevenson (FRED SAVAGE - TV's "The Wonder Years") and his family are looking forward to a new life in the suburbs. But it isn't long before Brian meets up with his first real best friend that of all people (or things) turns out to be a monster named Maurice (HOWIE MANDEL - TV's "Bobby's World"), a monster who lives to have fun playing jokes and all the things that a kid can't do under an adult's supervision.

Lionsgate is teaming with Wal-Mart to offer a trio of previously released titles, now with SteelBook packaging. Interestingly, two out of the three, Shivers and this film, further bear the Vestron Video imprint, leaving Kickboxer the outlier in that regard.

Little Monsters Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. The SteelBook offers some appealing design elements, including an emphasis on evocative purples and blues. The inside panels really don't have much to offer, as seen in the sixth and seventh photos I've uploaded to accompany this review. A digital copy is also included.

Little Monsters Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

This release seems designed for a niche audience, and Vestron Video completists or fans of the film who didn't pick up the first release or who alternatively are aficionados of SteelBooks may want to consider this nicely designed outing.
