Life on Mars: Series 1 (2006)

After a near fatal car accident in 2006, DCI Sam Tyler (John Simm) wakes up dazed and confused in 1973. While struggling to figure out what's happened, he is forced to work under a new, hard nosed DCI Gene Hunt who uses "fists firsts and ask questions later." Sam uses his knowledge from the future to help solve crimes in the past, while trying to find out why he's there and how to get home.
