Since it's another day ending in "y", that must mean there's a new seemingly random SteelBook offering from Lionsgate. This time it's Law Abiding Citizen, which the studio put out in standard packaging years ago in 4K, after even earlier 1080 releases (under the Starz / Anchor Bay label), including somewhat hilariously, another SteelBook.

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. This is a rather handsome SteelBook, but, wow, is it ever shiny (necessitating some oblique angles for the hi res photos I've uploaded to accompany this review, so as to not get an overload of glare or reflection). As can be seen in the photos, the front panel in particular is shrouded in a kind of black-purple tone, with depictions of the two focal characters. The back panel is a bit more "explosive". The interior panels can be seen in the sixth and seventh photos. A Mylar O-ring doesn't really add a ton. A digital copy is also included.

This is yet another example of what I've now been joking for years seems to be Lionsgate's "let's throw a dart at potential titles and see what we get" release "strategy" in terms of 4K and/or SteelBook offerings. This one is perhaps especially odd in that there's already an earlier SteelBook (albeit without a 4K disc). This package offers the same discs as the wide release, and collectors should find the SteelBook a handsome addition to their libraries.
