Knuckles Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Martin Liebman September 13, 2024
Paramount has widely released a Blu-ray SteelBook packaging variant for the TV series 'Knuckles.' The disc and digital content is identical to that
found in the Blu-ray wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below
for
more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Knuckles Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Paramount's glossy SteelBook release of Knuckles settles for a very red (dark red) color scheme. The front panel depicts the title character,
full body, facing forward, hands aflame, a "ready to fight" look on his face. The show's title appears in action and movement-inspired lettering,
bottom
center. The rear panel depicts Knuckles sitting on a Game of Thrones-style throne
against a dark red background that fades to black at the bottom where some red studio logos, etc., appear. The spine is a dark red color (and near
black
at the
ends) with the show's title in red, center, and a red Paramount logo at the top.
Inside, there is no digital copy code. The lone Blu-ray disc sits on its own right-hand hub, center. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features
Sonic on the left, standing against a wall, pointing to the left, and Knuckles, seated on the right, wearing a virtual reality headset, also against a wall.

Knuckles Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

It cannot be said that this SteelBook design is "inspired," but it does look good. The color emphasis is right, the artwork on all sides is solid, and it'll
definitely look good on the shelf. The show is solid and the A/V presentation is terrific. The extras are very brief, however. Recommended, and do note
that while there is a UHD release of Knuckles, there is currently (at time of writing) no UHD
SteelBook release.
