Kills on Wheels Blu-ray Movie, Video Quality

Presented in its original aspect ratio of 2.39:1, encoded with MPEG-4 AVC and granted a 1080p transfer, Attila Till's Kills on Wheels arrives on Blu-ray courtesy of Eureka Entertainment.
The film was shot with the Arri Alexa camera and rather predictably its visual appearance is quite impressive. Detail, clarity, and depth are outstanding, while fluidity is as good as one can expect from a contemporary production. Even in areas of the film where light is somewhat or partially restricted the consistency is very impressive. Obviously, the advancements in technology are primarily responsible for it, but the digital master that was prepared for the film is also very good. The entire film has a cool font that promotes a limited range of nuances, but balance is excellent. There are no stability issues. Also, there are no purely digital anomalies to report in our review. (Note: This is a Region-B "locked" Blu-ray release. Therefore, you must have a native Region-B or Region-Free player in order to access its content).
Kills on Wheels Blu-ray Movie, Audio Quality

There are two standard audio tracks on this Blu-ray release: Hungarian DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and Hungarian LPCM 2.0. Optional English subtitles are provided for the main feature. When turned on, they appear inside the image frame.
The film has a fully digital soundtrack, so the lossless 5.1 track is essentially an exact replica of the original film mix. Clarity and dynamic intensity are outstanding, and there is even some good surround separation here and there. However, the emphasis is on organic sounds and noises, so overall dynamic intensity remains modest. There are no audio dropouts or digital distortions to report.

Kills on Wheels Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Attila Till's Kills on Wheels is a very unusual contemporary action thriller that is packed with great surprises. Interestingly enough, amidst all the flying bullets it manages to offer a very sober social commentary on life in Hungary as well. So this is yet another very good addition to the catalog of Eureka Entertainment's new sister label, Montage Pictures, which should not be ignored. Consider a purchase, folks. RECOMMENDED.
