Justice League vs the Fatal Five Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Martin Liebman April 21, 2019
Target and Warner Brothers, in a familiar combination, have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for the new DC animated film
'Justice League vs. the Fatal Five.' The SteelBook includes
the film on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital and the same on-disc content as found in the wide release in standard packaging. No UHD SteelBook is available. For more on the
SteelBook's look and feel, see the 'Special Features and Extras' tab below for more.

Justice League vs the Fatal Five Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

This glossy, fingerprint-prone SteelBook features a familiar layout with the DC logo at the top left and the film's title appearing towards the top. "DC
Universe Movie" text appears in green lettering above the silver title. The font image prominently features the film's heroes in color, leaping towards
several members of the title "Fatal Five" who are peering in from the corners. Among the Justice League heroes are Star Boy, Green Lantern, Batman,
Superman, and Wonder Woman. The rear side is essentially the
opposite, with the villains in the center and the Justice League heroes lining the bottom edge and lower sides. Featured in the center are Mano,
Persuader, Tharok, Emerald Empress, and Validus. Both sides are green-dominant, the rear so more than the front because the villains are largely
absent any significant color standouts. The spine is a solid black color with the film's title running much of its length. DC and WB logos appear at the
bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand side tabs. The two discs, one Blu-ray and one DVD, are housed on the right,
staggered-stacked. The two-panel inner print depicts a green-dominant comic-styled cityscape against a relaxing sunset sky. A modestly sized billing
block
appears bottom left, standard for Warner Brothers SteelBooks.

Justice League vs the Fatal Five Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Target and Warner Brothers' SteelBook looks familiar and feels familiar in the hands. It's a match for many of the previously released store exclusive
SteelBooks in terms of its layout, style, and glossy texture. The inner print is again something less than exciting (the studio's last DC animated release,
Reign of the Supermen, featured scenery from Apokolips) but the
overall
presentation isn't bad. The movie is fairly good, too, and the Blu-ray is excellent. It's a shame that Target didn't opt to include the UHD disc, but
cest la vie. Recommended.
