It: Chapter Two 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Martin Liebman January 14, 2020Warner Brothers and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for the hit Horror sequel 'It: Chapter Two.' The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

It: Chapter Two 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

It: Chapter Two's SteelBook is made of a matte surface material that has a very slight texture to it rather than the slick and smooth
SteelBooks that
also show many more fingerprints than this one. The front and rear panels almost look like mirror images of one another on first glance but actually
work together to present a single unified image, broken up by the spine. The interior portion on both sides features half of Pennywise the clown, on the
front holding a
pair of balloons in his left hand. The character's facial expression is one of mischievous evil with immediate terrible intent. Behind is a large bright light
source, almost looking like
either a large rising moon or the saving grace of daylight from the surrounding darkness, which looks like a cave or tunnel, dotted by floating red
balloons. Both sides feature The Losers, on the front the adult versions in front of a house and on the rear the child versions on bikes. The front also
features the film's title in scrawled red-blood letters; the subheading "Chapter Two" appears in much smaller white type. The spine simply features the
film's red/white title, center, and a Warner Brothers logo at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code floats; there are no tabs. The three discs, one UHD and two Blu-ray, appear on three hubs. One disc earns its own space on
the left while the two on the right are situated in staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features a very dark image of
Pennywise peering out from the darkness, the eyes really the only plainly visible characteristic. A billing block appears bottom left.

It: Chapter Two 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

It's nice to see Warner Brothers and Best Buy eschewing the glossy, fingerprint magnet style for this matte casing that suits the darkened material nicely. It's a simple design and the wraparound works; it might have worked better with the spine in play to continue the illusion, foregoing text in favor of the rendering, but fans should find this a very agreeable and necessary addition to their SteelBook collections. The on-disc content is excellent, too. Highly recommended.
