Inside Little Oral Annie / Little Oral Annie Takes Manhattan Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Brian Orndorf May 20, 2024
Director Joseph Sarno helped to launch the “Inside” series of movies, with each title exploring the lives and talents of specific adult film stars (e.g.
“Inside Seka,” “Inside Jennifer Welles”), giving fans extended time with their favorites. Dramatic depth wasn’t pursued, but certain offerings went
above and beyond, with 1981’s “Deep Inside Annie Sprinkle” creating an unusual sense of intimacy between the actress and her fans, with Sprinkle
offering biographical details from her upbringing, even encouraging viewers to write her, sharing their fantasies with a screen figure. 1984’s “Inside
Little Oral Annie” generally does away with this level of closeness, finding Sarno going the straightforward route with erotic encounters, focusing on
various couplings and displays of physical talent from the star of the show, who’s definitely not here to present her acting range.

Plot isn’t present in “Inside Little Oral Annie,” with the movie tracking the star’s adventures in pleasure while hanging out in New York City during
the mid-1980s. She’s a gal on the go, offering viewers the “real truth” behind her bedroom experiences, with Sarno following his leading lady into
various situations of seduction. This includes a visit to a bar to meet with pal Janet French (Carol Cross), with the pair locating a German man who’s
happy to join the woman in a filthy upstairs closet as they aim to overwhelm the visitor. There’s Louise Ingster (Taija Rae), who runs an agency for
secretaries, willing to break all kinds of HR rules as she pushes assistant Louis Hacker (George Payne) into a sexual situation on her desk. Little Oral
Annie visits her friend, Nancy Pennett (Danielle), eager to commence work on a special sex toy the pair can enjoy together, also adding Nancy’s
boyfriend, Peter (Joesph Black), to the mix. And a reunion with Irene Warner (Cara Lott) becomes an afternoon spent with a revolving door of
lovers, as both women devour this special attention.
“Inside Little Oral Annie” isn’t bursting with story, but Sarno sets the mood almost effortlessly. He focuses on the actress and her particular set of
skills, photographing oral sex events with different backdrop lighting, repeatedly returning to this display throughout the feature. He also relies on
the star to add seductive atmosphere, watching as Little Oral Annie details a life where carnal cravings drive her every move, excited to meet
partners and add to her to-do list of insatiability. Little Oral Annie isn’t a strong actress, often stumbling through her lines, looking a little out of it at
times. However, she’s committed to the cause, trying to express a deep desire to attack anyone she meets, with “Inside Little Oral Annie”
showcasing these fantasies in an episodic fashion.
New York City is the setting for “Inside Little Oral Annie,” with Sarno using shots of the actress walking down streets to act as transitions for the
movie. There’s little activity outside in the feature, with all of the action returning to living spaces and office settings, and we meet various people
involved in Little Oral Annie’s life. For some reason, the picture offers full names for almost everyone included. Perhaps it’s a way to sell the “reality”
of the storytelling, but the endeavor is fairly quick to get to the main appeal of the cast, going through numerous situations of seduction as Little
Oral Annie seeks to get her rocks off in the Big Apple. This includes an opening scene with Janet French and the German, who elect to have their fun
in a small room littered with garbage, daring to rub their genitals all over a filthy mattress of unknown origin. The most elaborate addition to “Inside
Little Oral Annie” is saved for the finale, as Irene Warner and the star enjoy time with numerous partners making their way through a tiny NYC
apartment.
