Produced by animation powerhouses Liden Films (Berserk) and Sanzigen (Project Sakura Wars), the original manga series by artist Mayori Sekijima has been adapted into a trilogy of feature-films. The Initial D: Theatrical Collection is an entertaining and budget-friendly compilation feature which offers viewers the entire trilogy. Released by anime distributor Sentai Filmworks in North America, Initial D is non-stop entertainment.

Initial D is a highly entertaining anime adaptation of the manga by Mayori Sekijima. Fans of fast vehicles and non-stop excitement will find much to enjoy in the trilogy. The film series has a nice balance of both character-development and adrenaline-fueled races to cover all the bases needed to form a quality story. Worth a watch for anime fans with an affinity for racing series. Highly recommended.
