Reviewed by Neil Lumbard December 22, 2022Immensee & The Great Sacrifice are presented together as a double-feature. Consider it a great double-feature for a rainy-day weekend viewing. Each film in the collection is directed by Veit Harlan (Circus Girl, Bewildered Youth) and stars the beautiful leading actress Kristina Soderbaum. These films are outstanding classic romantic-dramas and are well worth seeking out.

Immensee / The Great Sacrifice Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation
Immensee & The Great Sacrifice make a wonderful double feature. Each feature-film is directed by the great filmmaker Veit Harlan (Bewildered Youth, Circus Girl) and stars actress Kristina Soderbaum. The gorgeous Soderbaum is a compelling leading star and she makes the films her own. Each release is beautifully restored by Kino Lorber with excellent video and audio. The release is well worth adding to the collection of any cineaste. Highly recommended.
