What a remarkable collection to behold. There's something always magical about experiencing a great filmmaker's works as collected together in one set. The importance of a release such as the Ida Lupino Filmmaker Collection to film history and preservation is significant. It's extremely important that such classics be well preserved, cherished, and discussed for decades to come.
Lupino is an auteur director who made great films which have striking artistic merit and entertainment value in equal spades. The Blu-ray collection is well worthwhile and features new restorations (including 4K scans for both Not Wanted and The Bigamist), a 76 page booklet, and an attractive slipbox containing all four films: Not Wanted, Never Fear, The Hitch-Hiker, and The Bigamist. This impeccably assembled set comes highly recommended.
