A young Viking named Hiccup lives on the windswept island of Berk, where his father Stoic the Vast is the tribe's feared chief, and fighting dragons is part of every young warrior's training. But Hiccup's destiny of becoming a prized dragon fighter takes an unexpected diversion when he saves and befriends an injured dragon, Toothless. Hiccup now embarks on a mission of his own to convince his tribe to abandon its barbaric tradition of ruthless dragon-slaying and try out some new methods.

Fans and collectors alike will be pleased to note that Dreamworks's 'How to Train Your Dragon 4K' has been rereleased in a new SteelBook courtesy of Universal. The 2010 film's voice cast which featured Jay Baruchel (Hiccup), Gerard Butler (Stoick), and America Ferrera (Astrid) was the start of an impressive franchise that, as of this date of this release, includes four feature films, three animated series, and numerous shorts. This release brings forward all of the special features from the previous 4K UHD wide release in addition to it's strong audio and video presentation. A Digital Code is also included.

How to Train Your Dragon4K's SteelBook is dominated by a palette of deep blues to suggest the night sky. On the front cover, a standing Hiccup reaches up tentatively toward the Night Fury he named Toothless. A full moon hangs in the upper right corner. The back cover depicts Hiccup flying astride Toothless, his right fist raised in a mix of joy and triumph. The pair pass in front of a much larger full moon which fills most of the image. The spine uses the same blue color scheme with the film's multicolored logo in the center. It is the only place the title appears on the SteelBook, and due to the fact that it uses the title logo instead of simply printing the title in a standard font, while it is recognizable, it is very difficult to read, save for the bright red "Dragon". Opening the SteelBook, the Digital Code is located under the clips on the left side, while the Blu-ray and 4K UHD discs are housed on stacked and offset hubs on the right. When all of the contents are removed, a colorful panoramic image of one of the film's locations at what one must assume is sunset is revealed.
As beautifully animated as it is charming, Dreamworks's How to Train Your Dragon 4K is perfect for film fans of all ages. The SteelBook's moonlit imagery is simple, stunning, and does an excellent job of capturing the emotional tone of the film in just two graphics. SteelBook collectors, those who have yet to add the film to their collections, or who are seeking to upgrade from a previous release will want to seek out the How to Train Your Dragon 4K SteelBook. Highy recommended.
