How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno is a quirky science-fiction comedy anime from animation studio Lesprit. Based on the manga by tugeneko as published by Hakusensha, the Seinen anime production is one that aired on Tokyo MX in Japan. The series feature theme song music by artist Miku Ito for the opening titles and has a closing tune composed by Yu Serizawa, Aimi Tanaka, and Akari Kageyama. Deranged, silly, and downright strange, How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno is unlike anything else out there.
Ueno is a genius student with an unnatural addiction to experimentation and the creation of elaborate science projects. Attending school while focusing on her latest experiments (which always seem to get her in to some zany new scenario), Ueno always enlists the help of her bumbling side- kick, Tanaka. Ueno seems to want the attention of Tanaka's gaze (despite the fact he seems to show no signs of interest in her whatsoever).
There are not too many moments that pass by on the series without Ueno asking Tanaka to look up her skirt and do other naughty things. Experimentation through science for the perfection of invisible undergarments and the like is at the forefront of her efforts. She even asks Tanaka to drink her bodily fluids. What will Ueno think up next?

"Prepare for boredom!"
From a production standpoint, the series has adequate animation that gets the job done. The series uses the efforts of Ayano Ōwada (Yes ka No ka Hanbun ka) for the character designs and the series also features cinematography by Ayumi Itakura (Harukana Receive, Hitori Bocchi's OO Lifestyle) and Yoshihito Kuwa (NieA under 7). The animation produced for the series manages to convey the outlandish experiments. While the series animation is not horrible it's also remarkably average.
The series music by Yasuhiro Misawa (UzaMaid: Our Maid Is Way Too Annoying!, Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!) is nothing to write home about, either. The score compositions seem only designed to help provide background-music to the series. There are no impressive character themes or dramatic cores to the music. The tracks are remarkably dull. The presentation of the music simply manages to make almost no impression whatsoever: bland and dull throughout.
Nobuyuki Abe (Haru wo Daite Ita, Bananya: Fushigi na Nakam-tachi) is the sound director for the anime. The series is decidedly average in most respects. However, the production does have an OK sound design. Abe designed the audio in such a way that the zany elements of the production are well represented through the sound-stage.
Written and directed by Tomohiro Tsukimisato (Yurumeitsu), Tsukimisato seems to be a little too preoccupied with outlandish ideas regarding the series. The show is underwhelming and boring. Throughout the entire series, the perverted comedy is over-the-top and unnecessary. The production seems completely unnecessary from beginning to end. How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno is not special and is not worth one's time. Skip it.

Arriving on Blu-ray from Sentai Filmworks, How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno is presented in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC encoded high definition in the original television broadcast aspect ratio of 1.78:1 widescreen. The release is altogether an impressive one. The colors are bright and vibrant. The production looks sleek and modern. The encode quality is top-notch from beginning to end. This presentation manages to convey every element of the animation at its absolute finest: from the background art to the opening/ending theme animations. There are few drawbacks to report regarding the release. The one minor issue worth mentioning is that there are some episodes in the series which exhibits some altogether mild banding (which is only visible in a few scenes). For the most part, an impressive looking release.

The release includes two lossless audio options: How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno is presented in both English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 and Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. Either one of these 2.0 stereo audio sound mixes presents the series with lossless, high-resolution sound quality. Dialogue is crisp, clear, and easy to understand from beginning to end. These are good quality audio tracks that are able to present the sound design exactly as intended. While the tracks are stereo audio and are not quite as dynamic as 5.1 surround tracks would be, the sound stage is still surprisingly active and engaging to listen to. There are no egregious problems with the audio to report (such as pops, clicks, hiss, and other audio detriments). English subtitles are provided on the release (and can be accessed via the main menu) when selecting the original Japanese language audio option.

There are not that many extras on the release. The on disc supplements are as follow:
Clean Opening Animation (HD, 1:02)
Clean Closing Animations (HD, 6:22) presents a selection of title-free closing credits.
Japanese Promos (HD, 1:39) advertising the release of How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno.
The release also includes a selection of trailers promoting other releases available from distributor Sentai Filmworks: Why the hell are you here, teacher!? (HD, 00:31), Maid-Sama! (HD, 1:31), Shirobako (HD, 1:32), and The Demon Girl Next Door (HD, 1:31).

How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno is a perverted and over-the-top zany science-fiction comedy in the anime realm. The series is full of ridiculous hijinks and is not worth one's time. Nothing about the series is that good and it feels over-cooked. The plot-lines feel recycled and unimaginative. The direction is stilted. For a medium that is full of imagination and wonder when a good concept is executed properly, How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno is the opposite of that perfect realization. The production is one that viewers will forget about as soon as the end credits start to roll.
On a positive note, Sentai Filmworks offers excellent video-audio quality. Nonetheless: Skip It.
