Just in time for Halloween viewing, the three most recent films from the 'Halloween' franchise have been released in this Walmart-exclusive 'Halloween Trilogy 4K Limited Edition SteelBook' courtesy of Universal. Including the films "Halloween (2018)', 'Halloween Kills (2021)', and 'Halloween Ends (2022)', the films of this modern trilogy stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichack, and Will Patton, follow Curtis's Laurie Strode as she seeks to put an end to Michael Myers's killing once and for all. This trilogy features strong technical merits and a modest assortment of special features are brought forward from the previous releases for the curious. For a discussion of this new Limited Edition SteelBook, please scroll down to the "Special Features and Extras" section. A Digital Code redeemable through Movies Anywhere is also included.

The Halloween Trilogy 4K Limited Edition SteelBook comes outfitted with a clear slipcover on which is printed all of the text as well as the
knife with Laurie Strode's (Jamie Lee Curtis) reflection to enhance the SteelBook's front image of the masked Michael Myers. On the reverse side of
the slip one will find a barrage of text providing a very brief summary of the trilogy, high-level details of the release itself, as well as the credits for
the films and the UPC code. Removing the slip, the SteelBook's true images are revealed. The front is simply Micheal's masked face emerging from
the
darkness. It is haunting, menacing, and highly evocative of the atmosphere of the films. The image on the back cover is the silhouette of Michael's
knife of choice on a field of black, in which the images of five characters can be seen, most notably a mature Laurie and Michael himself. Several
logos populate the
lower left corner but are tastefully subdued. The product number is in the lower right corner. The black spine has text that reads Halloween
Trilogy in large white block letters. Opening the SteelBook, the disc for Halloween 4K (2018) is found on the left side, while the discs for
Halloween Kills 4K and Halloween Ends 4K are each found on their own stacked and offset hubs on the right side. When all three
discs are removed, the image of Laurie Strode confronting Michael Myers is revealed. As this SteelBook does not have the two clips one would
normally find on the left side, the sheet with the Digital Code floats free inside. Given that black is the predominant color for this release, thankfully
the SteelBook has a matte finish which should help ameliorate the fingerprints and smudges associated with normal handling. On the whole, it's a
wonderful and elegant design.

Halloween Ends 4K (2018)

Though the three films that comprise the modern trilogy may be a bit uneven, they are all respectable entries in the Halloween franchise. While the last film in the set is titled Halloween Ends, genre fans know all too well that this likely won't be the case. Whether via sequel or reboot, if horror fans can count on one thing it's that characters like Michael Myers will never be gone for too long, and sooner or later, another chapter in the Halloween saga will arrive. Curtis, as always, is a pleasure to watch, and Myers is an outstanding villain, as potent and terrifying as he has ever been. For fans who have yet to add the films to their collections or those seeking to upgrade from Blu-ray, this Walmart-exclusive Halloween Trilogy 4K Limited Edition SteelBook comes strongly recommended.
