Earnest orphan Pip finds his life changed forever soon after encountering and lending assistance to escaped convict Magwitch on the marshlands near his home. After moving to London to be educated as a gentleman under the guardianship of a formidable lawyer, a now-adult Pip, believing he now has the required social standing, aims to convince Estella he is worthy of her love.
