It's 'Grease' mania! Paramount previously released 'Grease' to Blu-ray in 2009 and has re-issued the film with a new transfer on both Blu-ray and 4K UHD. This SteelBook edition contains the remastered Blu-ray, which is available separately and with additional physical DigiBook content. The SteelBook also includes the inferior sequel 'Grease 2' and 2016's TV event 'Grease Live!.' At time of publication, this SteelBook is the only way to own the latter two films on Blu-ray.

This Grease SteelBook certainly makes an impression. It's predominantly a very bright, vivid shade pf pink. The front cover boasts a number of embossments, including the title, the locker number (cleverly "40" in celebration of the film's 40th anniversary) and the locker's hinges, latch, lock, and vents at the bottom. Main character images are also prominently displayed. The spine simply reads "Grease Collection" with the Paramount logo at the top and the Blu-ray disc logo at the bottom. The back side includes a few fun drawings. Inside are the three discs, with one on the left and two partially staggered-stacked on the right. Below the discs are a handful of still images set against a shiny silver background. The entire package looks fantastic.

The Grease Collection SteelBook is a must-buy for fans of the series or, of course, collectible packaging. It's a shame that there was no UHD SteelBook option (even if it was just the first film in 4K) but the Blu-ray is certainly very good on its own merits. This reviewer's copy did arrive with some small dents on the front side, but in a way they compliment the presentation, making it a little more reflective of a well-used school locker. Highly recommended.
