Best Buy and Sony have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for Director Roland Emmerich's 1998 Monster/Disaster film 'Godzilla.' The SteelBook includes the same on-disc and digital content as that found in the wide release packaging. See the 'Special Features and Extras' portion of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Best Buy's store exclusive UHD SteelBook release of Godzilla features the same front image as the 2009 Blu-ray, sans any lettering, which is
fine, but in this reviewer's opinion the cover art for the companion wide release UHD, featuring the title
creature's foot stomped into the ground with spotlights illuminating it, vehicles in its path, a couple of helicopters buzzing around, is much nicer.
But...surprise! That's actually the rear SteelBook cover art. Both do look great, each presenting with a feel for the creature's size and with an
attractive
glossy finish that separates the eye on the front and the foot on the rear form the background elements. The simplicity is very welcome, even if these
are simply rehashed promotional images; both sides look terrific in person. The spine features the film's title, aglow in a radioactive green color,
center, and against a flat black background. A TriStar logo appears in white at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. There is no inner print per se. Both panels simply feature a solid metallic green color which does at least jive
with the movie's creature and tone.

Godzilla's UHD is a beast and its SteelBook is very nice, too, even if it's comprised of recycled rather than reimagined front and rear imagery and a blank slate interior. Imperfect as it may be, it's certainly handsome in the hand and comes highly recommended.
