On disc supplements are detailed in the Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection 4K Blu-ray review. Game of Thrones releases on Blu-ray have long featured some really nice packaging, including some of the previously released SteelBooks that also included magnetic sigils, as well as the gorgeous "picture box" release last year of Game of Thrones: The Complete Collector's Set. This comes housed in a SteelCase with embossed dragons on the side and back, and with a foam insert which holds each of the eight individual cases. The designs of the eight cases is often quite subtle, emphasizing muted colors and kind of abstract representations of things like dragon's scales, stringed instruments or chainmail. The back of each case features a quote. The packages offer some different "strategies" in terms of holding multiple discs, with some cases offering discs stacked on top of each other, and others offering separate hinged holders. As is frequently the situation with these types of multi-disc releases, several of the discs in my set had become dislodged during the shipping process, and in fact even one of the plastic spindles meant to hold a disc in place had broken off. The outer SteelCase was also slightly dinged. I've uploaded JPEGs of the packaging in screenshot positions 6 through 10.

Collectors of SteelBooks may well want this edition of the series, and the packaging is handsome if rather restrained looking. The actual video, audio and supplementary content comes Highly recommended.
