Sony first released writer/director David Ayer's harrowing WWII drama Fury on 4K UltraHD in 2018 as part of its early foray into the format. This is virtually the same 2-disc release, albeit packaged in a handsome SteelBook, though that's hardly a criticism as the 2018 edition and its top tier audio and video remains a stunning addition to any collection. This SteelBook edition does feature Dolby Vision, although with such a subdued palette, I could not see any notable difference between it and the previous HDR10 version. The film stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peņa, Jon Bernthal and Jim Parrack.

Kudos to whomever heads Sony's SteelBook graphic design department. While Fury, like most Sony SteelBooks, merely utilizes production stills
or images from the film, the artistry and striking quality of the photography is undeniable. Fury's front cover features a solemn Brad Pitt,
leaning against the barrel of a tank, while the back cover features the entire main cast. The inner art includes even more actors in another terrific
photo, with the 4K and standard Blu-ray discs sitting in a clear plastic tray. The spine of the SteelBook sets the title in white against the sky, popping
out surprisingly well when sitting among other titles on the shelf, as most SteelBooks seem to have darker cover art.

Fury is an incredible war film that should be on every physical media collector's shelves. Sony's 4K release -- soon available in this striking SteelBook packaging -- does the movie justice in every way, from video quality to Dolby Atmos punch to must-watch extras. If you don't already own Fury in 4K, or are a SteelBook fanatic, this purchase is a no-brainer.
