Paramount has released a six-disc, eight-film Blu-ray SteelBook collection featuring the original eight films in the 'Friday the 13th' franchise. This is the same collection Paramount released in 2021 in a red Amaray case: there are no new video or audio presentations, no new supplements, nothing but a SteelBook and some new collectible cards. See below for links to what's included and some thoughts on and photographs of the packaging.

the
final four to the reviews for the versions released through Warner Brothers in the metal tin.

For full Blu-ray audio reviews, please click through the following links. The first four point to the Shout! Factory discs; the
final four to the reviews for the versions from the Warner Brothers metal tin. Note that the Shout! reviews are built around comparisons between the
5.1 and original 2.0 tracks. Only the 5.1 tracks are included on these releases.

This SteelBook, like Paramount's standard casing issue before it, does not include the same breathtaking array of extra content as found in the Shout!
set, but it does carry over over most of the supplements from
previous Paramount and Warner Brothers releases. Please click through each of the links below for full reviews of what's included. Digital copy codes are
included for all eight films. No DVD copies are included.

I always leave these sort of reviews by lamenting the absence of the same collection in the UHD format, so...here is me lamenting the absence of this collection in the UHD format. No doubt that Paramount will continue to slow-trickle these Friday the 13th films to UHD (we already have Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th: Part II) and eventually release this again (and probably in the same SteelBook packaging) on UHD. But as it is, these Blu-rays do look and sound pretty solid, the extras are good, and the SteelBook is very nice indeed. Recommended!
