Alex Owens is a female dynamo: steel worker by day, exotic dancer by night. Her dream is to get into a real dance company, though, and with encouragement from her boss/boyfriend, she may get her chance. The city of Pittsburgh co-stars. What a feeling!

Paramount has widely released a UHD SteelBook packaging variant for the 1983 film 'Flashdance.' The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the UHD wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Paramount's Flashdance SteelBook is flashy. The glossy front panel depicts Alex sitting facing forward, legs spread open, with her arms
stretched straight down in between. A pink diamond is behind her, and it is outlined in purple. The background is divided by a diagonal line. The panel is
light blue at the top and black at the bottom. A few neon lines arc along the front, and the film's title is written in 80s-style type across the top in pink.
The rear panel is glossy black with pink text scrawled through the space: "What a Feeling!" The spine carries over the color schemes and design cues
from the front with the film's title in pink, center, and a Paramount logo, also in pink, at the top.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features a sepia-toned montage of various iconic images of Alex from the film.

This is a nifty SteelBook that captures the film's tone and the era in which it was made. It will be a joy to have on the shelf. Recommended!
