A kick-ass spin-off set within the Fast and Furious franchise... in 3D!

Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw is another action-packed and entertaining spectacle in the ongoing Fast and Furious franchise. Though the film is the first of a number of planned spin-offs set within the same universe, the energy and excitement on display is off-the-charts amazing. With the fantastic casting of Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Vanessa Kirby, audiences are in for an undeniably trilling ride. Get your engines ready and be prepared for the total badassery of this rollicking good action-adventure that will have you hanging on to the edge of your seat.

Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw 3D Blu-ray Movie, Video Quality 

Speeding on to 3D Blu-ray with undeniable style at every turn, Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw 3D has received a 1080p MPEG-4 MVC encoded high definition 3D presentation. The first film in the beloved action franchise to arrive on 3D Blu-ray, expectations for the release are no doubt high: the good news is that the 3D presentation is the most entertaining way to experience the film (besting other versions available). The film is a visually inventive experience and one that demands to be seen with the added immersion 3D provides.

The dramatic sequences in the film mostly feature mild-to-medium layers of 3D rendering and are adequate if not overwhelming from a visual standpoint. This element might sound disappointing. However, the action-sequences make the 3D experience worth the purchase. Most notably, during the energetic finale of Hobbs and Shaw, the 3D effects are off-the-charts impressive with great depth which is simply stunning to behold.

As the characters fight to the finish, the 3D transfer becomes much more immersive and impressive. Seeing vehicles soaring through the air is astonishingly cool and its these moments that make the 3D presentation transform into a must-see experience. While the 3D conversion might not rank as one of the absolute finest the format has to offer, there's more than enough impressive moments to cement the 3D presentation as a wild ride you'll want to take again and again.

The release includes an almost unbelievably fantastic lossless Dolby Atmos surround sound presentation that expands the audio with atmospheric ambiance that enhances every single action-packed moment of Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw 3D. From the furious thunder of gun-fire to explosions across the field, the action-packed film has so many thrilling scenes that are perfectly accompanied with surround sound that immerses one completely into the experience. The music score is similarly exciting throughout the entire sound mix. Dialogue is consistently crisp, clear, and easy to understand. A thrilling, show-stopping, and reference quality Atmos track.

Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw 3D Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

The release includes the same supplemental features found on the standard 2D Blu-ray disc. No extras are included directly on the 3D disc and supplements can be viewed on the standard Blu-ray included within the 3D/2D Blu-ray combo pack release.

Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw 3D Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

A thrill-a-minute action extravaganza, Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw 3D is an exciting spin-off set within the Fast and Furious universe. Both series diehards and newcomers to the Furious universe will find this to be a hugely entertaining experience that is well worth taking. The 3D Blu-ray release has some stunning visuals which are greatly enhanced by the third dimension. It's truly remarkable how immersive 3D makes an action-spectacle like this one. Rev your engines: it's an exhilarating ride. Highly recommended.
