Fairy Tail: Final Season - Part 24 Blu-ray Movie Review
The final season unfolds.
Reviewed by Neil Lumbard March 20, 2022Fairy Tail: Part 24 continues to explore the concluding chapters of the hit anime series. The final season of the series has arrived. Based on the original manga by Hiro Mashima, Fairy Tail: Part 24 includes episodes 291-303. The epic adventure of the final season of Fairy Tail unfolds.
The animation is by A-1 Pictures, CloverWorks, and Bridge. The anime series is produced by Akiko Nabeiwa (Convenience Store Boy Friends, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments), Aya Yoshino (Soul Eater, Sgt. Frog), and Naritoshi Sato (Fairy Tail x Rave, Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious). Fairy Tail was broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan and has been licensed by Funimation Entertainment for distribution in North America.
The Fairy Tail clan faces an imminent threat: the entire magical clan could be destroyed by the diabolical Zeref (Akira Ishida). Zeref seeks complete power all for himself (which would be devastating to magical beings everywhere). Upon learning about the full powers of the Fairy Heart, Zeref becomes even more corrupt. Determined to wipe out the Fairy Tail guild, Zerek sends an army to destroy everyone in Fairy Tail: Natsu (Tetsuya Kakihara), Lucy (Aya Hirano), Happy (Rie Kugimiya), Wendy (Satomi Satou), Erza (Sayaka Ohara), and the rest of the group.
The animation remains one of the most important elements of the production. Fairy Tail is a beautiful looking production. The anime has exquisite background animation. The art work is ushered in under the guidance of art director Masaaki Kawaguchi (Engaged to the Unidentified, Plastic Memories). A stunning production, Fairy Tail showcases the action-packed fun of the fantasy series with expert craftsmanship. The character designs by Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama, Nandaka Velonica) make an impression as well.

The battle rages on.
The score composed by Yasuharu Takanashi (Naruto Shippūden, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal) remains one of the most charming and entertaining elements of the production. The score fits the fight scenes perfectly. The music enhances the fantasy components of the storytelling while managing to highlight the characters and the Fairy Tail guild.
Written by Masashi Sogo (Bleach, Hunter X Hunter), Fairy Tail: Part 24 continues the epic adventure. Fairy Tail is an outstanding series. The characters are some of the best in anime history – and make things so entertaining to unfold. Sogo does a great job with the dialogue. The scripts give each of the central characters enough room for exploration.
Directed by Shinji Ishihara (Tokyo Majin, Sasaki and Miyano), Fairy Tail: Part 24 packs a mighty punch. The exciting adventures of the final season are underway. The epic scope of the series is outstanding. Ishihara knocks it out of the park. Fans will be enormously pleased.
