Enter the Dragon 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Randy Miller III November 2, 2023Released alongside WB's standard 4K-only edition back in August, Warner Bros. also collaborated with Best Buy on a store-exclusive Steelbook edition of Robert Clouse's seminal Enter the Dragon for its 50th anniversary. With identical on-disc contents that include a lovingly restored A/V presentation (which includes the original mono audio as well as a brand-new Atmos track), both cuts of the film, and an vintage audio commentary, the only drawback was the lack of a Blu-ray copy and the legacy bonus features that came with it. Sadly this Steelbook doesn't rectify the latter problem, only offering a cursory packaging upgrade for die-hard collectors of the format. But it's still available as of this writing despite an initial shortage of inventory, so get 'em while Best Buy still sells physical media.

For my thoughts on both the new Dolby Atmos and original theatrical mono mixes (the latter of which was new to digital home video for this release), please see the review linked above.
Enter the Dragon 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

This one-disc release ships in exclusive Steelbook packaging with a glossy finish and attractive design elements. Unlike the new cover artwork featured on the wide-release 4K, only Bruce is featured -- in striking black-and-white, with the red of his iconic claw wounds matching the red and black background -- with no supporting characters. The background palette continues on its spine and back cover, which also features a prominent dragon watermark and cast/crew credits. Inside is a color close-up of Bruce as seen in the climactic mirror battle, with the single 4K disc sitting on the right side. Overall, I'd have preferred a bit more variety here (and if the text would've been omitted or even "removable", like on Lionsgate's excellent Steelbooks), but this is still a solid design and suits the film's mood well enough.
As mentioned before, on-disc extras are identical to the 4K-only edition.
Enter the Dragon 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Enter the Dragon is a 1970s action classic and a fantastic gateway drug for those new to martial arts films, and WB's 4K presentation makes it shine like new. Although the wide release 4K is currently on sale for a much lower price, the mere existence of a collectable Steelbook -- which is still available on Best Buy's website as of this writing -- will be enough to attract die-hard fans, even if a pack-in Blu-ray copy would have sweetened the deal quite a bit.
