Dragonheart: A New Beginning (2000)

Draco's legacy, Drake, is now the world's last living dragon. Nearly fully grown, he's discovered by an orphaned stable boy, Geoff. The unlikely duo pair up so that Geoff can master the skills needed to fulfill his dream of becoming a Knight. Together, they soon face challenges that turn them into heroes. However caught up in the excitement of the moment, they fail to see the hidden dangers that surround them. A prince's lust for power ensnares Drake and Geoff must find the courage to overcome evil to save his friend!
