Downton Abbey: Series Two (2011)

Now 1916, World War I rages in Europe and change is afoot in class-bound British society. Several men from the estate leave to fight causing anxiety upstairs and down. Lord Grantham's age keeps him from service, so he agrees to have the manor serve as a soldiers' convalescent home, with youngest daughter Sybil a nursemaid. Matthew becomes engaged to another woman, Bates can't catch a break, the Spanish flu wreaks havoc and Thomas is, well, Thomas.
