Crypt of the Living Dead Blu-ray Movie Review

The dead don’t stay buried for long in this double feature, finding “Crypt of the Living Dead” and “House of the Living Dead” (two separate productions, not a series) chasing a sinister tone of evildoing, though both pictures are more skilled with padding than generating true scares. Genre efforts fighting to frighten viewers, the movies attack with different levels of intensity, but the one that counts, “Crypt of the Living Dead,” finds enough punch to entertain, leaving the disc’s B-side, “House of the Living Dead,” more of a curiosity than a contender.

Crypt of the Living Dead Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

Vinegar Syndrome provides a double feature disc that few companies would care for. While quality varies between the two titles, the big draw is "Crypt of the Living Dead," and it looks superb here, refreshing a lost title for a new generation of cult film enthusiasts.
