Crank 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Jeffrey Kauffman June 6, 2023
Lionsgate continues to offer what comics might refer to as a "runner", a gag that keeps going and going and going, like a veritable Energizer bunny. I
started my Crank 4K Blu-ray review by once again mentioning
how seemingly random Lionsgate's 4K releases could be (and frankly have continued to be), but that joking assessment might also include the
occasional SteelBook packaging, frequently released in conjunction with Best Buy, that Lionsgate indulges in. This release repeats the contents of the
older 4K UHD release, and so I refer those interested in further information to consult my review.

For a plot recap and my comments on video, audio and supplements, please see my

Crank 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. The SteelBook has some fun elements, including a mylar O ring that offers Jason
Statham's glowering presence on the front cover, which, when removed, reveals "what lies beneath", so to speak. The main SteelBook is awash in
metallic golds and silvers, with dramatic black accents. The inside illustration offers a somewhat cheeky (in more ways than one) illustration that is
kind of comically psychedelic. A 1080 disc and digital copy are also included.
Crank 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

Those unfamiliar with this film are again encouraged to visit my original review to a get a least a gist of its content. This SteelBook offers a rather
dramatically graphic image on its cover and should appeal to collectors of this kind of packaging.
