This fifth in a series of Cinerama travelogues, aside from the scenery, is comprised of fictional stories. The first involves an American girl on a cruise to Hawaii who makes friends with a Hawaiian girl, meets her family, and developing a crush on the Hawaiian-girl's brother. The second segment follows the skipper of a sailing vessel retracing Capt. Cook's route. Another segment involves an artist who paints Tahiti. Another concerns an ex-US G.I. who was stationed in New Zealand in WWII and returns for a visit. The final segment is about a group of settlers arriving in the Australian outback and the usefulness of the two-way radio.
