Catch Me If You Can 4K (2002)

Based on a true story, Frank W. Abagnale was employed as a doctor, a lawyer, and as a copilot for a major airline company—all before reaching his 21st birthday. A successful con artist and master of deception, Frank is also a brilliant forger, whose skill at check fraud has netted him millions of dollars in stolen funds—much to the chagrin of the authorities. Catch Me If You Can 4K Blu-ray Movie Review

Reviewed by Martin Liebman December 21, 2025

Paramount has released a UHD SteelBook packaging variant for the 2002 film 'Catch Me If You Can,' starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio, directed by Steven Spielberg. The disc and digital content are identical to the accompanying UHD wide release. Note that this is the second SteelBook release of the film; Paramount previously issued a Blu-ray only SteelBook in 2022. They are identical in terms of design. See the 'Special Features and Extras' portion of the review below for more.

Catch Me If You Can 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras  2.5 of 5

Paramount's UHD SteelBook release of Catch Me If You Can is identical to the Blu-ray only SteelBook the studio released back in 2022. I am not at all surprised to see the same design recycled for this UHD; it appears to be Paramount's modus operandi. The only difference here is the inclusion of the UHD disc alongside the Blu-ray, and that the discs are staggered-stacked on the right rather than the Blu-ray on its own central hub. Rather than rehash the same descriptions, then, I'll just post this link that points directly to the 2022 SteelBook review.

Catch Me If You Can 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation  3.5 of 5

I like this SteelBook design, especially the inner print, but it would have been nice for Paramount to attest something new. Still, it's nice, the film is great, but the UHD is iffy. Hold onto the 2022 issue.
