Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) 4K Blu-ray Movie Review

Reviewed by Martin Liebman June 5, 2020

Warner Brothers and Best Buy have collaborated on a store exclusive SteelBook release for the DC Extended Universe film 'Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).' The disc and digital content is identical to that found in the wide release. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras  3.0 of 5

What a beautiful jumble of colorful chaos! This smooth and glossy, but not necessarily fingerprint attracting, SteelBook features Quinn on the front, laying on a police car hood (with the license plate "BOP HQ"), head hanging down in front of the grill. She has a wicked wry smile on her face. Pink and purple color accents appear behind and around the car, with some blurry city accents in the distance. The rear panel has the appearance of a pink floral pattern fabric with hand-painted target bullseyes, black, in the top two-thirds. A handful of arrows have been shot into it. A billing block appears in the bottom third or so portion. The spine is black and features the film's title in small print above center. DC and WB logos have been placed at the bottom.

Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features Quinn on the right and a pup on the left sharing a bit of a tasty treat.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation  3.0 of 5

This is a great SteelBook. A premium, colorful look; cool artwork; and great disc content make the sone a must-own. Very highly recommended.
