Shout! Factory has widely released a SteelBook packing variant for the 1991 Comedy sequel 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.' The film is currently otherwise unavailable individually, instead packed in with the original film in a two film, three disc bundle. I do not own that bundle, but it appears that Shout! has added one extra to this disc that was only available on the third bonus disc in the bundle. It would appear the A/V presentations and specifications are otherwise identical. See the 'Special Features and Extras' section of the review below for more on the SteelBook's look and feel.

This slick, smooth SteelBook will show light fingerprinting along some of its darker portions. It's predominantly dark red front, back, and inside. The
front image depicts the famous time traveling phone booth, looking aflame in brighter orange and yellow tones, breaking up the dark red around it. The
film's title
appears top center. The words "Collector's Edition" have been imprinted across the very top in white. The rear panel is similarly colored and depicts the
ground where the phone booth had presumably just been situated, now just leaving behind some vapor. Some scattered legalese and logos appear in
small white print along the bottom. The spine is a red color with the film's title positioned center. A Blu-ray logo has been placed at the top while
Shout!
and MGM logos and model numbers appear at the bottom.
The Blu-ray disc situated on the right. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features a deeply red-tinted image depicting several characters. From
left to
right: Joanna, Bill, Death, Ted, Elizabeth, and Rufus. It's not an aesthetically pleasing image or in any way remotely interesting compositionally.
Note that this disc includes the two commentaries and the trailer found on the film disc in the bundle, but it also houses the long-format retrospective
Bill & Ted Go to Hell - Revisiting 'A Bogus Journey' which was on disc three in the bundle. For full supplemental content coverage, please click

Bogus Journey is a bogus film next to its vastly superior and most excellent predecessor, and this SteelBook is likewise uninspired. Drab and too dark and red outside and compositionally lame and too dark and red inside make this a letdown of a SteelBook. However, it is the only way to own the film by itself. For collectors only.
