Ballerina 4K Blu-ray Movie Review

Lionsgate is teaming with both Amazon and Wal-mart to offer (different) SteelBook packagings for a film they're also releasing in standard packaging in both 4K and 1080 formats. This 4K SteelBook's disc contents mirror those of the wide 4K release (both this release and the wide 4K release offer 1080 discs in addition to the 4K UHD discs).

Ballerina 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

On disc supplements are detailed in the above linked review. This is another evocatively designed SteelBook from Lionsgate, with moody blue and black hues (maybe more appropriately black and blue, given the pummelings the film depicts). The front panel shows the title character with what might be called "ghosts" of ballerinas, with the back panel offering the ballerina in a cloche that is part of the film. A Mylar O ring offers a frame of sorts (I've offered high res photos of the SteelBook both in and out of the Mylar O ring). The inside panels offer Eve in the middle of an explosion. A digital copy is also included.

Ballerina 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

My main review discusses some the evident trials and tribulations this film encountered during production, but for those who are fans and who like exclusive SteelBook packaging, Lionsgate is offering not one but two choices. As with the main release, technical merits are first rate and the on disc supplements appealing.
