One of the best trilogies of all time gets a deluxe 4K box-set
Reviewed by Neil Lumbard November 18, 2020Back to the Future is arguably the best feature-film ever made: the classic science-fiction film has it all: action, adventure, romance, drama, and plenty of heart. The saga of teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his eccentric scientist friend, Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), begins with some plutonium mixed with a “special edition” Delorean. Time travel was thus created. And so the story begins...
The Back to the Future trilogy revs its engine with an epic journey back to the year 1955. The saga continues with a blast in to the “future” (!) of 2015. The saga concludes with a trip to the old west. Each of the three parts of the trilogy saga offers fans some new twists and turns in the story. It's a fantastic ride.
From co-screenwriter Bob Gale and writer-director Robert Zemeckis (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump), Back to the Future is a milestone cinematic achievement which has withstood the test of time. Featuring original scores by the great Alan Silvestri (Avengers: Endgame, Ready Player One), Back to the Future has arrived on 4K UHD for the first time ever and the saga remains as an essential antidote to perilous boredom. The Back to the Future 4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital Gift Set collection is a dream set for fans of the beloved franchise. In addition to the exceptionally cool Digipack style box-set, fans of the series will love the EXCLUSIVE hoverboard replica. The hoverboard replica is only included in this set and it definitely impresses. The special display piece uses a large magnet to create a levitating hoverboard. The visual effect is truly exceptional and one can't help but grin while appreciating the "cool-factor" displayed with the piece.
Pro Trip: Though the hoverboard doesn't come with any character-accessories, owners can add a Lego-sized character (as I have done – see picture #1 in the review) to have Doc Brown (Or Marty McFly) levitate as well!

Grab your hoverboard. One of the most entertaining, original, and essential film trilogies of all time, Back to the Future has finally arrived on 4K UHD Blu-ray. A classic example of cinema done right. (Cranked up to 11.)
There is nothing else out there like it. There never will be. (Unless someone builds a time machine). Essential on 4K, Back to the Future has never looked – or sounded – better than it does now. This collectible gift set edition is a must-have for all true Back to the Future fanatics. With a fantastic levitating hoverboard, what's not to like? The set comes highly recommended.
