One of the best film trilogies of all time receives a deluxe collectors edition in plutonium-style packaging.
Reviewed by Neil Lumbard August 17, 2021Back to the Future is the best feature-film ever made: the classic science-fiction film has it all: action, adventure, romance, drama, and plenty of heart. The saga of teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his eccentric scientist friend, Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), begins with some plutonium mixed with a “special edition” Delorean. Time travel was thus created. And so the story begins...
The Back to the Future trilogy revs its engine with an epic journey back to the year 1955. The saga continues with a blast in to the “future” (!) of 2015. The saga concludes with a trip to the old west. Each of the three parts of the trilogy saga offers fans some new twists and turns in the story. It's a fantastic ride.
From co-screenwriter Bob Gale and writer-director Robert Zemeckis (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump), Back to the Future is a milestone cinematic achievement which has withstood the test of time. Featuring original scores by the great Alan Silvestri (Avengers: Endgame, Ready Player One), Back to the Future has arrived on 4K UHD for the first time ever and the saga remains as an essential antidote to perilous boredom. Don't miss it.
Plutonium? No problem. (Just handle with care.)

The Back to the Future: Plutonium Edition is a worthwhile collectors edition for fans of the beloved science-fiction film franchise. The release comes with a plutonium style case which contains the entire trilogy on 4K UHD + Blu-ray. The set also provides fans with three collectible pack-ins in "plutonium style" decorative tubes.
The first pack-in includes a "Blast from the Past: Almanac Grays" card, the second pack-in includes a flux-capacitor blueprint, and the third pack-in is of a "map to the time machine" in the old-west style. These collectibles are a nice addition for the collectors edition and will please die-hard fans of the film series. The card-board box (which is designed to look like a plutonium crate) is impressive in person. A nice collectible to house the 4K UHD release in, the plutonium case packaging works well and includes a layer of high-density foam inside to hold the box-set and prop replicas.

Grab your hoverboard once more. One of the most entertaining, original, and essential film trilogies of all time, Back to the Future has arrived on 4K UHD Blu-ray and each feature-film has an outstanding presentation. A classic example of cinema done right.
Essential on 4K, Back to the Future has never looked – or sounded – better than it does now. This plutonium collectors edition includes a wonderful replica of the plutonium crate (and even though it is made out of cardboard the box looks stylish in person). The set includes all three films and three collectible prop replicas: a "Blast from the Past: Almanac Grays" card, a flux-capacitor blueprint, and a map to the time machine presented in an old-west style. For fans looking for an impressive collection of the trilogy, the set comes highly recommended.
