Disney, in conjunction with Best Buy, has released an exclusive SteelBook packaging variant for the highly anticipated 4K UHD release of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron.' The SteelBook releases alongside the 4K debuts for both The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the packaging presentation varies a fair bit from those as well. All other content is identical to the wide release 4K SKU. See the Special Features and Extras section below for more on the SteelBook presentation.

Avengers: Infinity War's 4K SteelBook release is a stylistic departure from the somewhat ordinary character collage variations released for
The Avengers and Age of Ultron. Rather than a cluster of character headshots encircling an "Avengers" logo, this release features
Thanos' Infinity Stone power glove front-and-center, the unmistakable visual focal point. The complex villain, portrayed by way of motion capture
technology by Josh Brolin, appears to the right-hand side, his eyes gazing intently at his jewel-laden and all-powerful prize. A blue-dominant world fills
in most of the blank space remaining on the front, and there is no text of any kind to clutter the image. Unlike the other two Avengers
SteelBooks, there is no embossing or debossing work to be found.
The front, back, and spine all play a part in forming a larger picture. The planet's outline extends seamlessly from front to spine to rear. The spine's
text is minimal and is the closest matching element for the other SteelBooks in the series, presenting the film's title center, a Marvel Studios logo up
top, and a 4K Ultra HD logo at the bottom. The rear panel continues with the planet's outline, though much of the top two-thirds are devoted to a star
field and a somewhat prominent, but not gaudy, Avengers logo that nicely blends into the entire rear side imagery. Another Marvel Studios logo, a
website, a copyright date, and a model number appear unobtrusively at the bottom.
Inside, buyers will find the bundled Movies Anywhere digital code under the left-panel tabs. The Blu-ray and UHD discs are staggered-stacked on the
right hand side. The inner print is reserved for the apparently necessary-in-some-capacity character collage. Three appear on the left, the more
unobscured side if one removes the digital code sheet, and four on the right, appearing a little more scrunched up. From left to right are Gamora, Thor,
Black Widow (with her blonde hair), Tony Stark in an Iron Man suit, the bearded Steve Rodgers, Hulk, and T'Challa. They are separated by vertical
streaks of light and appear before a blue background.

Infinity War is a world-class Superhero film, the best of the Avengers trio, and its SteelBook is the most attractive of the recent 4K Avengers wave. Though it lacks the embossing/depbossing found on the others, the imagery is, subjectively, of course, much more flattering and expected of a collectible packaging variant. 4K video is good, the Atmos soundtrack is typical of recent Disney output, and the supplements are fine. Highly recommended.
