A great collectors edition of Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame arrives on 4K UHD and Blu-ray with an impressive collectors edition of the film exclusive to Target and containing special packaging and all of the great supplemental features accompanying the standard retail release. As the culmination of the remarkable twenty-two film journey which fans have taken to arrive at this destination point, Avengers: Endgame is an action-packed event film featuring the great cast of Marvel superheroes: Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and many more.

That's the good stuff.

Avengers: Endgame 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

Marvel Studios and Target have collaborated to release a special exclusive collectors edition of Avengers: Endgame on 4K and Blu-ray.

EXCLUSIVE to the Target edition is the following:

Collector's Edition Packaging

This special edition of Avengers: Endgame contains a digi-pack style case that is a beauty to even hold in one's hands. The release showcases the heroes of The Avengers: Tony Stark, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, and The Hulk. Each hero is spotlighted with their own distinctive image against a vivid background with blue and purple as the colors of choice. The packaging on this edition feels rigid, impressive, and complementary to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Inside of the case is a enjoyable 36 page booklet entitled "Avengers: Endgame – A Look Back at the MCU" and it's a worthwhile addition.

The included booklet focuses primarily on Iron Man and on Robert Downey Jr.'s role within the series. It briefly touches on other characters in The Avengers but mainly emphasizes and reflects on the first Iron Man. There are great quotes from Downey which will make any huge Marvel fan feel nostalgic about their experiences in viewing these films for the first time over the years.

At the beginning of the booklet there is also a nice forward from Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige. The end of the insert contains some notes from Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Throughout the booklet there are illustrations of concept and production artwork from artists who worked on Avengers artwork (such as Ryan Meinerding, Andy Park, and Chris Kesler). The booklet is an enjoyable inclusion (even if it doesn't feel comprehensive) and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and soaking in the beautiful art.

Avengers: Endgame 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

Avengers: Endgame is that rare Hollywood blockbuster that hits on all cylinders. It has everything that audiences want from going to the movies: great storytelling, memorable characters, and cutting-edge special effects. There's even pitch-perfect non-stop action (without sacrificing the story). The whole shebang. What a journey it has been to go along for this wild ride of 22 interconnected films to reach this culminating moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Target Exclusive 4K UHD edition is a beautiful collectors release that any fan of these films will feel proud to display with their collection. A great edition that is worth picking up for one of the best comic book films ever made. Don't miss it.
