Apollo 13 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

It took a few years, but Universal has finally released 'Apollo 13' on the UHD format and in SteelBook packaging. The front and rear panels feature
modestly glossy and
lightly fingerprint attracting black backgrounds. On the front is an image of the ship blasting off from Earth. It's pointed upward, with dense exhaust
bursting out and the bright yellow thrusters shining below. The film's title appears in basic block white letters in the top third, center, with the text "25th
Anniversary" appearing immediately below, also center. The rear panel features the lunar surface, bottom, and the Earth above. The ship is flying
between the two celestial bodies, center, and it's leaving a light, uneven exhaust trail behind it. The spine features black coloring with the film's title in
blocky white letters, center. A White Universal logo has been placed at the bottom.
Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in
staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features one of the more prominent promotional images depicting Tom Hanks'
Jim Lovell looking back and right; it's the same image seen on the original Blu-ray cover art. He appears exclusively on the left and the image extends
to the right with some triangular elements above black.

Apollo 13 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

This is a nice SteelBook. It's not at all flashy but it suits the movie's setting and tone quite well. The UHD presentation is solid, too, and the movie is, of course, a classic. Highly recommended.
