Angel Has Fallen 4K Blu-ray Movie Review
Reviewed by Jeffrey Kauffman July 9, 2024
Lionsgate has teamed with WalMart for another round of exclusive SteelBook releases, including this triple feature. The disc contents match the
previous Angel Has Fallen 4K wide release.

My thoughts on the film and its 4K presentation can be found in my

Angel Has Fallen 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras

Supplements are detailed in the above linked review. The SteelBook design is rather handsome but arguably intentionally "tamped down" in terms of
palette. Perhaps because this is a 4K UHD release, there's no "WalMart Exclusive" overlay as seen in the two other day and date SteelBooks Lionsgate
is offering at WalMart, and instead there's a mylar O ring, but as can be seen in the sixth photo I've included with this review, the O ring basically just
repeats the flag motif, admittedly with some interstitial sniper activity going on, but really not adding that much to things. Rather burnished
(tarnished?) depictions of the stars and stripes along with Butler and Freeman are prominently featured. As often tends to be the case, the interior
panels are pretty nondescript, with Butler on the left and really nothing on the right (under the stacked discs) other than his rifle barrel. A digital copy
is included.
Angel Has Fallen 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation

In the review linked to above, I kind of half joked about a franchise with Has Fallen as its unifying factor, but unlike those poor unfortunate
seniors in the well remembered television ads, this series may have fallen but can get up, as evidenced by continuing re-releases and/or
repackagings. I'll refer those interested to my original review for my ultimate thoughts, but the SteelBook offers some nice, if probably intentionally not
very colorful, design elements.
