Offered alongside the standard 4K edition, Warner Bros. has also issued a new Limited Edition Steelbook of Alan J. Pakula's bracing All the President's Men, which turns 50 this year and obviously feels more relevant than ever. As usual, all on-disc contents are identical so collectors will want to make their choices accordingly, but both offer superlative A/V merits and a decent (but hardly definitive) collection of new and returning bonus features.

"Where's the audio commentary, Zaslav?"

For details about the new 2160p/HDR10 transfer, please see my review of the standard 4K edition.

Likewise, details about the audio can be found at my review linked above.

This one-disc release ships in a sharp matte-finish Steelbook that retains the film's long-standing black, white, and red promotional color scheme; it's sourced from original poster art, but the font and other embellishments are new and it's cropped at the top and bottom. Even so, it's got a nice image of Woodward and Bernstein (Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman) front-and-center with the Capitol behind them, while the back cover depicts a late- night meeting with "Deep Throat" (Hal Holbrook). Inside is a two panel spread of absolutely nothing shady, honest, and the 4K disc sits on a hub to the right. It's a decent enough design, although I actually don't mind the standard 4K edition's cover either.
Speaking of which, all on-disc extras are identical to the wide release and detailed in the linked review.

All the President's Men remains as compelling and relevant as ever, an urgent reminder of the media's responsibility to expose the truth behind government corruption. Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, the arrival of this well-deserved UHD upgrade from Warner Bros. couldn't have come at a more perfect time. While it's not a perfect release in terms of extras (notably missing a few essential legacy items, including a commentary with Robert Redford), the A/V merits are certainly solid enough to warrant a purchase for fans and first-timers alike. This Limited Edition Steelbook might be a more attractive option for collections, but either version comes Highly Recommended.
