28 Years Later 4K Blu-ray Movie, Special Features and Extras 

Sony's UHD SteelBook release of 28 Years Later features a matte texturing as opposed to the more standard glossy feel, which I think is the right move for this film and its SteelBook. The front and rear panels are both gray in color with a worn look about them. The front prominently features a skull, mouth open, and figures eerily underneath the upper teeth, looking almost like they are melting away towards the bottom. At the top of the skull are two characters in silhouette in front of a forested area. The rear panel depicts many humanoid figures running in a line towards an island. The franchise-familiar biohazard symbol surrounds the island. The spine is the same flat gray color with the film's title in big and bold red letters, center.

Inside, the digital copy code is tucked underneath the left-hand-side tabs. The two discs, one UHD and one Blu-ray, are situated on the right in staggered-stacked formation. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features one hand handing off a skull to the other. The skull is center on the left panel.

28 Years Later 4K Blu-ray Movie, Overall Score and Recommendation 

I've long been a fan of Danny Boyle's work, including his 28...series. While neither of the follow-ups top 28 Days Later, this 2025 followup is certainly a high quality outing that fans of the franchise and admirers of Boyle's work will want to check out. And there is no better way to check it out than this attractive SteelBook option which contains a reference grade UHD presentation. Highly recommend!
